Candidate is responsible for overseeing the administration of Alcon’s SAP management reporting systems and financial month-end close support. This role involves ensuring the management reporting system's efficiency, accuracy, and reliability, as well as integrating it with other financial systems. Financial month-end close support includes ensuring that Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) systems owned applications contain accurate and complete financial information suitable for internal and external reporting purposes. The position involves system master data maintenance, data validation, coordination with IT to resolve application incidents, and end-user support, serving as the main point of contact for Asia and European regions.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• System Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our management reporting systems – Alcon Group Datawarehouse (ADWH), SAP BPC, AWS and Tableau dashboards.
• Data Integration: Ensure accurate and timely integration of data in Alcon’s systems.
• Month End Close: Timely execution of month end closing with high level of data integrity across Alcon BPA systems. Ensure relevant SoX requirements are met.
• Reconciliation: Implement and manage reconciliation processes ensuring data integrity across systems by building Alteryx and AI tool based validations
• Reporting: Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards. Support BPA Operations in providing timely reports to monitor financial results (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs).
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve system-related issues and ensure minimal downtime.
• User Training: Provide training and support to end-users to maximize system utilization. Will serve as primary point of contact for Asia and European region users.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure that all processes and systems comply with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of SAP BW and BPC reporting, administration and configuration. Knowledge of Alteryx and AI experience is essential; Tableau and AWS are beneficial.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Alteryx or Microsoft Power Platforms, SQL and Python for data reconciliation and automation via AI tools.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial processes and requirements within a corporate environment. Knowledge of IFRS or USGAAP accounting standards is advantageous.
• Project Management: Experience in managing and leading projects, including system upgrades and integrations.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex system-related problems.
• Training and Support: Experience in training end-users and providing ongoing support.
• Documentation: Strong documentation skills to maintain system-related records and procedures.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in administration and management of management reporting or financial systems.
• Certifications: Relevant SAP / SAP BPC / SAP SAC certifications are highly preferred.
• Industry Experience: Experience in the finance or IT industry is advantageous.
